Satellite Navigation becomes easier.......!!!!!

A collaboration with the Internet firm has led to a special link on the popular mapping site which transfers the location of any point of interest directly to a TomTom navigation unit. And best of all, it’s totally free!

Google Maps already has an army of satisfied users who can call on it to locate any place in the world. One of the service’s most useful features is a Yellow Pages-style search tool that enables you to dig out any type of business – from restaurants to racecourses, tyre fitters to tennis courts – and view all the results clearly on a map, along with full location details for each match.

Users have been able to send this information by E-mail or text, but now they can also simply hit Send, plug a TomTom sat-nav into their computer and let the HOME software on the device take care of the rest.

With millions of places to choose from in Google Maps, this should enhance the usefulness of any TomTom, as it removes the need to search for a place online, then enter its details into the sat-nav by hand.Source
